Project Overview

Project Summary

A 500T Side Push Type Metal Baler commissioned in Katowice, Poland, for an anonymous metal recycling company. The machine is mainly used to compact stainless steel scrap, lightweight aluminum profiles, aluminum offcuts, aluminum scrap, and other non-ferrous metals into dense 500 × 500 mm bales. The side push discharge design facilitates bale removal and transfer, helping reduce storage space and transportation volume while improving overall metal recycling efficiency.

Project Commissioning

A 500T Side Push Type Metal Baler was commissioned in Katowice, Poland, for an anonymous metal recycling company. The machine is mainly used for compacting various types of scrap metal, with the customer primarily processing stainless steel scrap, lightweight aluminum profiles, aluminum offcuts, aluminum scrap, and other lightweight non-ferrous metals, as well as certain copper and ferrous metal scrap.

The baler uses hydraulic compression to compact loose, lightweight, and irregular metal scrap into uniform square bales, increasing stacking density and making the materials easier to store, load, transport, and process for centralized recycling.

Customer Requirements

The customer handles large volumes of stainless steel scrap and lightweight aluminum materials, including aluminum profiles, aluminum offcuts, aluminum scrap, and other non-ferrous metal residues. These materials are often bulky, irregular in shape, and difficult to stack efficiently, creating a need for high-pressure metal baling.

The customer required a solution to increase scrap density, reduce storage space and transportation volume, and improve loading and recycling efficiency. The side push discharge design allows finished bales to be pushed out from the side of the machine, making bale removal, loading, and transfer more convenient.

Equipment & Main Specifications

  • Equipment Model: 500T Side Push Type Metal Baler
  • Application: Stainless Steel and Lightweight Non-Ferrous Metal Scrap Baling
  • Processed Materials: Stainless steel scrap, aluminum scrap, aluminum profiles, aluminum offcuts, aluminum residues, copper scrap, ferrous scrap, etc.
  • Chamber Size: 2500 × 2000 × 1000 mm
  • Bale Size: 500 × 500 mm
  • Motor Power: 110 kW

  • Processing Capacity: Approx. 8–12 t/h
  • Control Mode: Manual or Automatic Control
  • Bale Discharge: Side Push

The machine uses a high-pressure hydraulic system to compress loose metal scrap into dense and uniform square bales. It is particularly suitable for lightweight aluminum, stainless steel scrap, and other non-ferrous metal materials. The side push discharge system allows finished bales to be quickly pushed out from the side, facilitating bale removal, loading, and transfer.

Project Results

After commissioning, the 500T baler improved the compression density of stainless steel, aluminum, and other lightweight non-ferrous metal scrap, helping the customer reduce storage space and transportation volume while improving on-site loading, handling, and centralized recycling efficiency.
